Hi Everyone! Dean Peach asked me if I knew anyone that was available to help out at the Pacey Lecture on Tuesday, February 28th, at 5:30pm, at Tilley Hall on UNB Campus. I have class on Tuesday nights, so I’m out, but if anyone is interested in helping him after reading the brief description below, (I’m not sure what helping him entails, other than your presence at the lecture) please e-mail Libby at r4035@unb.ca. Thank you!
ps. everyone should attend the lecture!
W. C. Desmond Pacey Memorial Lecture
Hosted by the faculty of arts on both UNB campuses, the W.C. Desmond Pacey Memorial Lecture is presented by leading figures in humanities and social sciences. It was established in 1981 to honour the late Desmond Pacey, a distinguished UNB professor and administrator who died in 1975.
The 2011-2012 Lecture will be held at UNB Fredericton at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in the Alfred G. Bailey Auditorium, Tilley Hall, Room 102. Indigenous Government: The Future is the Past will be presented by Tony Penikett, a two-term Premier of the Yukon who also served five terms in the Yukon Legislative Assembly. It was the Penikett government that negotiated the umbrella final agreement for First Nation land claims in the Yukon.
